Among the insurer information
available in the MHIS Data Warehouse:
The firm's official name,
abbreviated name and common name (dba)
Many payors operate under numerous names. If you are only
familiar with one of those names, you may have difficulty finding
the correct information on that payor. MHIS keeps track of
each payors' DBAs, former names, and similar names.
Street addresses & P.O. box
addresses
Some plans can have dozens of
P.O. box addresses. This can result in claims being tied up indefinitely if
it is sent to the wrong address. MHIS data reveals required
P.O. boxes depending on the type of claim or employer.
Key telephone numbers
These numbers are at users' fingertips! Registration and business offices can search the
insurance master file to find out where to call for authorization,
pre-certification, utilization review, or claims information.
We update our data continuously!
MHIS
constantly updates its insurance master file to ensure payor
data is current. Updated information is gathered from clients
and/or the payors themselves. If payors are not sending out update
information, MHIS calls to verify existing
data.
